Ten Years!

It's been 10 years since I've written a blog post. I've been wanting to start a blog for awhile now, a "grown-up" blog. I never intended to continue this one, but tonight I was perusing it, and just decided to go for it. If I don't start now I never will! I have many things I want to write about, thoughts to express, and maybe a tutorial or two, who knows? I just know I am excited to have a creative outlet! Thank you for coming by and reading my thoughts. Feel free to let me know what you think and to give me feed back on any future post. I reverted all my previous post to drafts (the ones from 10+ years ago!) but don't worry! I don't plan on deleting them. For your entertainment I may repost one here or there, despite the embarrassment to myself. 😊 A lot as changed in 10 years. Like the fact that I have been married for over 7 years to an amazing man, and have 4 beautiful children. Perhaps I'll introduce you someday. 😉
Have a wonderful day, my beautiful people!

till we meet again

My tummy is starting to feel funny. A bad funny, not a good one. But that is most likely because all I've had to eat today is doughnuts. Such a healthy start to a busy day! A note to those that love doughnuts: they don't make a good breakfest. Especialy if you have to go to work that day. You will be starving by 8:00 (considering that you ate at 6:30) then, since you are busy you will simply grab another doughnut, and by 11:30 your tummy will hurt. So eat an apple!!!
I really shouldn't be sitting here writing this. I have so much to do!! Packing, baking, clothes need to be washed, certain parts of the house need to be cleaned. And all of this needs to be done by about 2:00 or 3:00, because then we will be leaving for Californa! I'm kinna stoked you know, it just kind of sucks that we won't get there till tomorrow and we have to leave Friday or Saturday. Oh well, at least we get to go.

Oh yeah, you know how people say you learn from your mistakes? I was thinking... if that is true.... by the time I'm... oh, say 30, I'll be perfect! :)

The Jelly Fish

Once upon a time there were two girls running on the beaches of Ocean Shores. There were other people running also, but these two girls were so fast that they were way ahead of the group. So they decide that they could walk for a little bit. As they are walking they come up to this gaint jelly fish. It was bigger then any they had ever seen! They thought it was dead but they weren't sure. So one of the girls (who had always been very brave and daring) decide she would touch it, to see if it would sting her. She leans down and without any hesitaion pokes her finger into it. It doesn't sting her so they figure it is dead. So they pick it up to show it to their friends. It was so big and heavy that both of them had to hold it, and even then they were pretty much dragging it across the sand. But they were studds, and if three of the biggest, strongest men tried to carry it I really doubt they could have. Pretty soon they could see their friends in the distance (as you remember, these girls were so fast, and they were way ahead of the group, so to show it to them they had to turn around and head in the other direction) So anyways, they see their friends in the distance, and low and behold! A giant piece of flubber (who looked kind of like some unknown "hero" called SuperJospeh) was attacking them!!! The two studd girls knew exactly what to do right away. They raced up to The Giant Flubber and smashed the jelly fish upon his back. The jelly fish suddenly came alive and stung The Gaint Flubber, melting him with a thousand stingings stings!
And that, my friends, is the end of The Giant Flubber.

THE END

P.S., When The Giant Flubber melted, he turned into a gross sticky substance in the sand. Now, whenever you step in gross sticky "mud", really it is The Giant Flubber.

the REST of the story

Ok, so I'm at work (I was actually working up in the barn this day) and it is pretty busy. People are rushing around going crazy trying to get things done. I was in the back room doing labels with my friend Britt while everyone is buzzing around us. You know in the movies when everone is going so fast they are blurry, but there is that one person in the middle who is perfectly calm and still? Well, niether do I, but if you did know then Britt and I would be the calm ones. (hehe, imagine that.) So anyway, to do these labels you have to put a little sticker on a square of stuff that is similier to suran wrap. So we're doing these sticky, time comsuming, BORING labels for about an hour and a half, and I decide that I need a "break". So I grab the pile that we had already done and said "I will go bring these to the other room." Brittney offerd to take the other pile, but I said, no, I'll do it. So I turn, take two steps and yes, I trip. Luckily I only drop half the pile, but now there is dirt all over them and since we put these over blueberries we can't have them dirty or they'll get the blues dirty, or at least make them look it. So I throw about 45mins of work in the garbage in about two seconds. Great. Don't you love it when that happens?
I do fine for the rest of the day, or at least until the day begins to end..... I am asked to clean some strawberrie puree off the cement floor, so I get all into it like I do most things, and grab the sink hose, pull it out, point it to the floor. But wait. The water doesn't reach the spill. Hmmmm. Maybe I should pull it farther? yeah! Thats a good idea! WRROOONG!!!! Can you guess what happens? Just guess, please....... ok, done guessing? Well, if you guessed that it reached the spill and cleaned it up very nice and smoothly then.... your wrong. I guess the hose was just kinna weak cause it snapped right off. Yup. Off. But the water was still running, so guess where the water goes? Straight up. I got soaked trying to turn it off! It was very embarrassing. And if that wasn't enough I broke a chair. and yes, I was still at work. I didn't even do anything to it! I just touched it! Promise!! I was SO glad that I was about to go home. And I did manage to stay out of trouble for the rest of the day... hehe, promise! :)

Ok, so bad days DO happen....

Maybe I'm not maturing as much as I thought I was. Or maybe all my ditzy/clumsy/stupidness was just saving itself up for today. Thats probably it. I was just going through life so gracefully somthing (or should I say some things?) HAD to happen....So anyways... today at work I was a bit tired (I'll blame it on my lack of sleep) and I... oh shoot, I gotta go! I'm leaving this weekend and we're running late, so I guess your just gonna have to wait awhile! tata~

so not cool

YAY! I got my license! Some of you might have known that already though. My first thoughts when I get my license? "I am NEVER going to lock the keys in the car.... never...."

It started out has a fine sunny day, the first in quite a long time! Even though I had to get up at 6:30 (ugg) I was feeling pretty good. The sun does that to me. I got to work at 7:30. Worked till 12:30 by myself when Malissa got there. She had some stuff I ordered from AVON so I paid for that and left at 1:00. I had to pick up mom so I didn't get home till 2:00. When I got home I decided I should go over to the grape vinyard and put a few hours in over there. The owners are gone and gave me a key so I could get some extra stuff done while they were away. I drove the car which had my AVON bag still in it, so I took that out along with my purse because dad was going to come by when he was done with work and switch rigs so he could take the car down river (less gas). So anyways, he gets there, we trade keys, I work till about 5:30 then decide to go home. I go to the surburban passenger door, unlock it, put my AVON bag and purse in the passenger seat, I click the automatic lock/unlock button to unlock all the doors, reach over, put the key in and start the sub, slam the door shut and go over to the drivers side.... aaannd the door is locked.... shoot. I check all the doors, all locked. I guess I must have hit the automatic lock, instead of unlock... oops... I check the windows... all up. crap, I'm in trouble.. not only do I lock the keys in the sub, but it also running!! My thoughts? "DUDE!! I'M SOOO STUPID!!" Luckly I am only about 5min drive away from home and we have a extra set of keys. So I walk over to the diner that is down the highway (I HATE walking on highways and will forever more!!) and use their phone. I also work at this diner once and awhile so they all know me and had to hear my story and laugh at me. haha. I call mom, needless to say she is slightly mad. I tell her where the extra keys are but she has no car so I had to call the nighbors and ask them to get the keys from mom and bring them to me. Terri Harris ended up bringing them to me.. She pulls up (laughing) and says, (while still chuckling) "I'm not laughing at you Rachel, but it is kind of funny. Anna does it all the time.. but I don't understand... how did you manage to lock them in with it running?" oh well... I guess I'm just bound to be a screw up....lol :).
